I took a photo of Steve Davis (Hartford CT educator and trombone master) taken at The Northampton Jazz Workshop when he was the featured artist. It was the light on his face and trombone and the music played that inspired this painting!

This painting is from the train ride from Chartres back to to Paris when I visited there. Sitting across from me I noticed a Mom and her sleeping daughter. Her Mom’s purse as a pillow and her Mother’s hand on her shoulder.
So peaceful to watch…
